Delaware has two wildlife refuges that were established to preserve the wintering and breeding habitat of migratory waterfowl. Bombay Hook and Prime Hook contain almost 30,000 acres of marsh, brush, water, timber, grasslands, and croplands. Both refuges provide homes for numerous species, including many that are endangered.

For the first time ever, our Refuge managers are producing plans for how they will manage - and protect - our refuges in coming years.
