To restore and protect the natural environments and quiet recreation experiences we seek on our nation's public lands and waters, The Wilderness Society launched the Recreation Planning Program in January of 2007. The Recreation Planning Program is dedicated to helping citizen activists and partner groups effectively conserve nature-based recreational experiences and healthy, natural environments on our nation's public lands.
Recreation Planning Program staff provide policy, planning, and technical expertise to concerned citizens, local and state-based conservation and quiet recreation groups, land managers, policy makers, and others.
