  • On June 10, 2003, Friends of the Boundary Waters Wilderness is hosting an event in Ely, Minnesota to unveil "Preserving the Canoe Country Heritage: A Wilderness Study on Permanently Protecting Minnesota's Remaining Roadless Areas."
     
  • Creation of "Americans For A Maine Woods National Park" Announced

  • A new advisory committee called "Americans for a Maine Woods National Park" has been created to promote the proposed Maine Woods National Park & Preserve.
