  • Two More Towns Lend Support to Dona Ana County Wilderness

  • The village of Hatch, NM, and town of Mesilla, NM, have joined Las Cruces and Dona Ana County in passing public lands resolutions supporting the designation of all Wilderness Study Areas and two additional citizens' proposed wilderness areas in the County and a 100,000-acre Organ Mountains National Conservation Area.
     
  • Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Las Vegas Pass Resolutions Opposing Energy Development in New Mexico's Spectacular Valle Vidal

  • New Mexico's largest city and the state capitol have thrown their considerable weight behind efforts to protect northern New Mexico's Valle Vidal by recently passing resolutions opposing industrialization in the "Valley of Life." Earlier this month, the city of Las Vegas, NM, passed a similar resolution.
     
  • Three Arctic Heroes Honored by The Wilderness Society

  • On February 23rd, 2006, the Wilderness Society hosted a reception in Washington, DC, to honor three individuals who have dedicated their time and expertise to the campaign to protect the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.
