Enjoy Wild Art and Support The Wilderness Society

Artist Diana Wege, an Advocate for Wilderness, visited 25 national lands and Nature Conservancy sites over a 28-month period. Her journey included trips to the Boundary Water Canoe Area in northern Minnesota, Alaska's Denali National Park and Utah's Grand Staircase--Escalante National Monument.

The resulting paintings are collected in Land America Leaves Wild, a new book that celebrates the very best of our wild lands through art. Wege's paintings capture the vibrant beauty and unspoiled magnificence of some of our nation's natural areas. Diana's series of wilderness paintings were on display at the Grand Rapids Art Museum during summer 2000.

Available in hardcover from the University of Washington Press for $65, a portion of the sale of each copy of Land America Leaves Wild will go to support the work of The Wilderness Society.
